Dear Gradle users, as you probably noticed, there is a Cookbook available (see http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GRADLE/Cookbook) that gathers few (hopefully useful) Gradle tips & tricks. It looks like I am currently a cookbook-keeper :) so I wanted to say few words about it.
The real author of this cookbook is Gradle community. I wanted to send a multicast "thank you message" to many of you, who answered questions on mailing lists, that later were transferred into cookbook recipes, and also send special thanks to those, who contributed directly to the cookbook. I believe Gradle is a unique tool that deserves the best documentation possible, and I think cookbook is a vital part of such documentation. But there is one hook, though - that it has to be alive. Gradle evolves, user needs evolve, and the cookbook should follow, if it is to be of any use. So, the second message I want to send is to ask for help. You can put your own recipes, update those that are outdated, or propose topics that in your opinion should be explained there. Please remember, this cookbook is community driven, so shape it as you wish and don't hesitate to add your 3 cents if you feel like. Right now there are few things that definitely needs to be filled there - please take a look and if you know how to solve some of them, please spend few minutes and write down your recipe. I will appreciate any comments/ideas/bashes. Thank you in advance. -- best regards Tomek Kaczanowski http://kaczanowscy.pl/tomek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, please visit: http://xircles.codehaus.org/manage_email
