It was my fault :( During the migration of my script I forgot to
change the source location for the tests. Now, I have adopted the
following

  sourceSets.main.classesDir = new File('build/bin')
  sourceSets.main.java.srcDir 'src'
  sourceSets.main.resources.srcDir 'src'
  sourceSets.test.resources.srcDir 'test'

and everything seems to work.

Sorry, for the time spent to investigate such silly case.
