Not really. The version is available in the build script as gradle.gradleVersion, but at this stage, you're on your own as far as doing the check, and figuring out if the current Gradle version is compatible with the version you want.

It would be nice to be able to declare this somewhere in the build script. It would also be nice to be able to declare which version of the jdk the build needs, so Gradle could also enforce that.
