I don't remember any details (it was a long time ago) but the TestListener should provide access tot he standard output/err produced from tests. Just register it with the ListenerManager before the tests are run and I think everything will work (unless this has changed since I last looked). I even think I made a sample that shows how to do this, but I'm not seeing it in my distribution. Maybe someone else can help with syntax if you can't figure it out.
