Hi, In the middle of 2009 we have founded a company behind Gradle. It provides training, support and consulting for Gradle and all forms of enterprise software project automation in general. We gave it the name Gradle Inc. with the domain name gradle.biz. Obviously we were never happy with the domain name. One solution to that problem was to look for a new name for the company. This is the road we have taken. We renamed Gradle Inc. to Gradleware Inc.. With the new name we don't need to explicitly mention the Inc. anymore. The new name still shows that there is a strong link between the company and the open source technology. The new name has the additional advantage that it is easier now to distinguish activity of the commercial entity from community activity around the open source project. This is just a name change! It will be followed by a complete restructuring of the gradleware.com website.
We have also renamed our twitter account. The original name was @GradleOrg as @Gradle was taken. We renamed the account to @Gradleware. This reflects the fact that people from Gradleware provide the tweets for this channel. And, of course, it gives more visibility to the commercial entity :). Besides that we are all very excited that two fantastic people have joined Gradleware. We will announce the details of that soon.
