Hi Phil,
I had the same problem a while ago. Helperutil has moved to the test
sourceset of core and is not part of the gradle api. You should migrate
your tests to use org.gradle.testfixtures.ProjectBuilder instead.
ProjectBuilder is part of the gradle api and supposed to support
developer on writing tests for there gradle code.
