I was afraid of that.  However, I think the SelfResolvingDependency should 
meet our needs for now.  Thanks for the response.

I'm not aware of one. If you want Gradle's dependency handling goodness, 
I'm
afraid you'll have to bite the bullet and implement an Ivy resolver.
