One of the issues we are trying to address is that as a support channel, the mailing list is not very user friendly. We are confident that this forum will be a more effective way for community members to get help with problems/questions. Also, it provides a much more “mineable” source of information which should work to help people find existing answers to their questions, helping them solve their problem quicker and continue working. A very high percentage of traffic to this mailing list is of this nature, where people are blocked on a problem and seeking a solution or clarification. That's what we are trying to optimise for. An open question at this point is how it works for just general chit-chat and what the role of this mailing list becomes over time. >> You can create your account and log in to the forums right now @ >> http://forums.gradle.org/ > > I have signed up, but I hope that I can work entirely by email. Unfortunately you can't post via email, but you can receive notifications of content. You can configure your notifications here: http://forums.gradle.org/me/notifications It strikes me know that this page's existence is not very obvious so I'll put something on the front page. -- Luke Daley Principal Engineer, Gradleware http://gradleware.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this list, please visit: http://xircles.codehaus.org/manage_email
