Hi Peter,
frankly I've never seen it in action. I was only trying to understand why
groovy compiler fails claiming that somewhere there is a Field of type Log
(from commons-logging) after I changed my deps from springframework standard
artifacts to osgi packaged ones.
Since I saw there's such option on groovyc ant task I guess it could give me
some more info on which class triggers this issue (i.e. depends upon
commons-logging, while spring-framework doesn't provide it anymore)

In the meantime I explicitly added

as a workaround... but I still just wonder where the hell this compilation
dep comes from
