HOLY COW Joachim, please take the award for hero of the day today hahah. This was actually entirely what I was looking for! I Googled quite a bit for a parameter to pass along with the preconnection-blob tot enable Enhanced Session Mode (as I suspected that it could/should be possible). Google didn't take me to the post you mentioned. Also I wasn't able to find it in the mailing lists, which I did search for a solution. So, thank you some much for sharing this! As I suspected this had something to do with the limited console session after all and my screen refresh rate is now at a level I am very happy with, considering it's on a PI ;) lp wrote > A couple of thing s come to mind as part of the fault finding process: > > (1) You might want to check that you have no performance-limiting > options set in the individual connections. > > (2) You could try a connection to one of your guests directly from the > Pi itself and see how well that works? Also, thank you for replying lp, I do appreciate it! Before I noticed the reply from Joachim, I read your post and realized that indeed I missed some simple steps in troubleshooting this (like building an RDP directly to a guest). So I tried it and it was indeed faster, but it wasn't really what I was after, cause when building labs I'd like to have to option to not have to specify every lab guest with valid IP configurations. Also I started looking more thoroughly at the resources from my PI, cause you're right on the part that it's not the fastest thing one can buy (good bang for the bucks though :-) ). The top and iostat utilities weren't showing any limiting factors in CPU, disk IO or memory, so this wasn't the problem. Enhanced Session was the solution here. Have a good one guys!
