Hi PlayerOne, It looks like the surefire plugin being downloaded has been corrupted on their web site. Must have just happened. You need to bypass testing. Try: mvn install -DskipTests If that doesn't work then go through each pom.xml in the expanded tarball and comment out the use of the surefire plugin, then run again: mvn package -Plgpl-extensions
