Where are you storing connections? I assume JDBC?
I had to check (I just followed some quick instructions on setting it up on Docker) but it's in the mysql DB.
Also hadn't noticed that groups were only there in 1.0.0 - I'd reverted to 0.9.14 because the settings menus in 1.0.0 were full of input headers showing things like "MANAGE_USER_GROUP.SECTION_HEADER_USER_GROUP | TRANSLATE" and I thought I would tackle one issue at a time :)
