I know this may sound rather trivial, but upon enabling RDP within windows 10 
have you also assigned said user account to be able to login via RDP?

Hope you reach a solution, because what you've already stated seems to have 
been the correct route to get either an secure or unsecured connection from 
guacd to windows 10.
