Thanks again for the excellent responses. I am taking your advice and input into consideration and working on my script for RHEL/CentOS 8.x, using your input to improve it for the better.
Since I am basically re-writing the script, I am looking at parts long forgotten and finding inefficiencies, excess code, etc. Excited to see how it turns out and to adding even more functionality to it.
