Grigory,

I generally enable this feature for users. It does not appear to impact server load significantly, although I've not had more than ~100 concurrent users.

I turn it off for users on a budget connection - this is more about speed of delivery than server concerns.

Hi All,

I'm considering whether to allow our Guacamole users to use RDP font smoothing (currently this setting is hidden from them and they don't use it). Will enabling font smoothing produce additional CPU load on the server running guacd+Tomcat?

FreeRDP manual says that "[smooth fonts] are sent as images, which may be slower".

Will CPU load be increased if we allow users to use smooth fonts, and to what degree?

Kind regards,
