Hi, im using guacamole with more than 1k of users, i started using apache as reverse proxy but i do not recomend you.
finally im sing haproxy and just works like a charm. use websocket without any extra conf and you can balance all your nodes. using apache as reverse proxy you loss a lot of performance.
