A couple of things to clarify:
* When you connect from xfreerdp, are you connecting from the same server
running guacd, or a different one (sounds like probably a different one)?
Is it on the same network as the Mac using xfreerdp, or a different one?
* In your xfreerdp command, you seem to have a non-standard port - 8442,
perhaps? I know this is a simple question, but just want to make sure
you're configuring that port in Guacamole when yo uset up the connection?

This really seems like a network routing and/or firewall issue of some
sort, so that would be the best place to start looking.
