If you want to download via git instead of the release page, you will need to specifically check out the "1.4.0" tag to get the source of the 1.4.0 release. My optimistic gut says next month is likely, all of our time permitting, but I wouldn't recommend holding off on upgrading when you are two releases behind the latest stable. - Mike
