You do not have enough resources to the guacamole system.

Increase the following:

RAM 16G

vCPU 2x2 (4Cores)

This should fix the drops.

We handle over 3000 connections across 4 guacamole servers in StormCloud.

Each Guac VM

vCPU 8 Cores

RAM 128G

10G Network

However you are going to see one heavy bill from AWS.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Lee for your earlier response.

We are using RDP protocol to connect EC2 windows instances through guacamole &
running guacamole server and client in the same kubernetes pod. Pod
configuration is 2 CPU & 4GB RAM, when launching 100 connections after the 50th
minute all connections are dropped. I need to support at least 200 connections
per Pod without any failure. And we are using nginx as load balancer. EC2
instances & applications running the same AWS Cloud region.

This request is for tuning the current Pod configuration to support 200
launches.

Thanks & Regards,

Ravichandran

Could you please provide a detailed statement about your use case & concerns?

What protocols do you expect to be used? Are there specific features that you
need to use (such as session recording or file transfer)? Are you users going
to be located close to the machines that they are interacting with? Do you
already have equipment such as servers and/or load balancers? Is there a
particular aspect that you're concerned about? What's your experience level
with system administration and load balancing? Do you have constraints, such as
using a cloud provider, or LDAP authentication? Have you ever worked with
guacamole, and is this just a request for fine tuning?

The people in the mailing list are generally very helpful, but more specific
questions would likely get you better answers and a faster response to those
questions.
