We use RDS running on Windows Server 2019 and it works very well. Both Remote
Desktop and RemoteApp work.
If you have the RDS Web Access component installed, you can get most of the
information you need (particularly the Load Balance information) by downloading
an RDP file and opening it in Notepad.

For a connection through an RDS Connection Broker to a Collection:

Protocol: RDP
Maximum number of connections: Whatever your RDS limit is, or a suitable number
for simultaneous connections to the RDS Collection

Network > Hostname: FQDN of the Connection Broker (or if you're using RDS in
HA, the Connection Broker cluster FQDN)

You may have to set Authentication > Security Mode manually, as it doesn't
always negotiate.
We leave Authentication > Domain blank, as it allows all possible username
formats to work (username, domain\username, UPN).
Authentication > Ignore server certificate: checked (unless you have a valid
cert)

Load Balancing > Load balance info/cookie: tsv://MS Terminal Services
Plugin.1.CollectionName

We don't currently use an RDS Gateway as our Guacamole servers can access both
the Connection Brokers and the Session Hosts over the intranet, but the Remote
Desktop Gateway section should cover that.
