It will likely not happen until the next major version of Guacamole is
released (2.0.0), as moving to Tomcat 10+ (Jakarta EE) will break
compatibility with Tomcat 9 and earlier entirely (at this point I do not
believe we will try to maintain backward compatibility due to the
complexity of the changes). There is no estimated release date for a 2.0.0
version - in addition to the Jakarta EE migration, that version is focusing
on migrating from AngularJS to Angular, which is a substantial effort.

You can still download Tomcat 9.x directly from the tomcat.apache.org site,
and it is still being actively maintained for security vulnerabilities and
bug fixes.
