There is no estimated release date for a 2.0.0 version - in addition to the Jakarta EE migration, that version is focusing on migrating from AngularJS to Angular, which is a substantial effort. You can still download Tomcat 9.x directly from the tomcat.apache.org site, and it is still being actively maintained for security vulnerabilities and bug fixes. -Nick >
