I'm dealing with the same "issue" when migrating from RHEL8 to RHEL10.
This is unfortunately just how the GNOME team chose to handle their RDP
implementation. I don't understand why, but it is what it is. There's
also no sound by the way.
Previously, I could have 1 guac configuration for a machine that is dual
boot and it was so smooth. Now, I need 1 config for Linux because it
has to auth as the rdp user, and another for the windows because I need
to login with the guac username and password.. It's annoying, but that's
the choice they made.
One day, if XRDP introduces a version which supports wayland we'll be
back to the good old days and be able to undo the sillyness.
