This does sound like a proxy is involved. If a proxy sits between the browser and the Guacamole server, and that proxy buffers data until the connection is closed, then the proxy will prevent Guacamole from working by effectively blocking communication until the connection times out. Setting up proper SSL/TLS will often solve issues with proxies. If you haven't done this, you can maybe kill two birds with one stone by doing so now. If you can confirm with your user whether there is indeed a new proxy involved, that would be a good first step. You should also check whether virus scanning software has recently been installed with features which might involve acting as a proxy (ie: automatic scanning of all downloads), as such things would interfere in the same way. - Mike
