Upgrading from 0.9.8 to 0.9.10-incubating

Hi,
We are currently running 0.9.8 on a production server and we are planning to 
upgrade to 0.9.10-incubating.Is there any documentation on how to safely 
upgrade it.And I believe connections and user auth are mysql-based.
Any help are appreciated.
