The database auth extension comes with upgrade scripts for both MySQL and PostgreSQL, one for each version which altered the database schema in any way. The scripts are incremental and apply to the immediately-previous release, so multiple scripts may need to be applied if you are upgrading an old release. Just make sure you apply them in order, and make a backup of the database first just in case. - Mike
