guacamole-server / guacd only handles the remote desktop connections themselves. The client (served by Tomcat) is what you're seeing when you see that version number. The version number in the manpage is wrong, but you should see the proper version number in the logs when guacd starts, and you *should* (but aren't) see the proper version number when you log in. Have you tried clearing browser cache? - Mike
