For anyone curious about this feature: I was able to get it working with
ca1cec6. You just need to clone that particular commit and build/install it
as described in the FreeRDP wiki
<https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/wiki/Compilation>. Sorry for spamming
this list about this feature. I should have just tried it from the get go.

NeutrinoLabs develops Freerdp I believe and they have a github site so
maybe check there. There is also a freerdp wiki if you do a google... that
lets you download latest & gives good documentation on the cli cmd & options

Hello,

Has anyone been able to set up Guacamole with support for the "Display
Update" virtual channel? Is there a recommended FreeRDP version? I was able
to find this version <https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/commit/ca1cec6>
 from this post
<https://sourceforge.net/p/guacamole/discussion/1110834/thread/aec2fd71/#40e9>
late
last year. Is this version still recommended? If it is, will I need to
rebuild guacd with the ca1cec6 commit of FreeRDP?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you so much,
Omar
