As a book for general audiences, the proposed data should not require too much domain knowledge and should be approachable by the general public. Besides this requirement, I hope your proposal contain at least the following sections: 1) Describe the data set, why it can be interesting to explore, and is it public? 2) What "big" questions/answers do you want to derive from your data set? 3) What techniques do you want to use for analytics?
