We run Hadoop clusters on Ubuntu 22.04. We've been running on various Hadoop and Ubuntu versions over the years and never had a problem. Mixing Ubuntu LTS versions (22.04 on some nodes, 22.04 on others) has not been a problem either. Beyond providing disks and setting a few standard Linux system-level tunables, Hadoop is very self-contained. Java for the win.
