Pascal, if all you wanted to do is to build a new PXF rpm, you can simply do the following:
Go to PXF: https://github.com/apache/incubator-hawq/blob/master/pxf (Make sure you use the appropriate branch based on your hawq version). Update gradle.properties to bump up the version number to be ready for an rpm upgrade. Run: make rpm This internally uses gradle to create the rpm.
