Has anybody had experience upgrading to the patched version of the
native connector library by twitter:

We want to add the splittable lzo support for our MR jobs, however we
have been running HBase for awhile with the original native connector
library (http://code.google.com/p/hadoop-gpl-compression/).
I am a bit concern about backward compatibility of the patched version
and wanted to check if people had any experience with it.
