HAADOOP-6461 and HDFS-1948 are in 0.22 branch and on hadoop trunk. St.Ack P.S I did but basic cluster testing running loadings over night on whatever the state of 0.22 hadoop was at the time of hbase-2233 commit. More testing to do before we release 0.92 (TRUNK was unbuildable at the time so I did not test it).
