I have tried by copying <hbase.rootdir> to some other location on my linux box
eg /root/hbasedata and restarted Hbase. It was started successfully and
contains all data as well.
Is there any better way to do it as this process is manual ?

Subject: Hbase Backup

Hi ,

I was reading about Hbase backup and various backup options available. Normally
the options available are when HBase is deployed on Hadoop.

I have 2 issues :

* What options are available for backup if I run single standalone
Hbase. Currently <hbase.rootdir> value is set for home directory. Eg :
/home/hbase/hbasedata.

* How to migrate my data from single Hbase node to Hbase build on top
of Hadoop. Should only copy the hbase.root dir to proper hdfs path will work ?
