We've been using Amazon Elastic Mapreduce for the last few months and have
recently been experimenting with HBase. It seems that the latest stable
version of HBase will not run properly with Hadoop 0.20.0 (which is the
version of Hadoop that currently runs on EMR). So we're looking into a
custom setup of Hadoop and HBase over EC2 instances. Can anyone recommend a
good consultant (preferably in the Boston area, but we're willing to provide
travel accommodations) to help with the base setup? Thanks very much.
