Is HBase.Client.Result.getValue(...) and Result.getColumn(...) fetch actual value from TABLE everytime

Hi All,

I like to know if

HBase.Client.Result.getValue(...) and
 Result.getColumn(...) fetch actual value from TABLE everytime

or  is  it available in Result/ResultScanner already?
