i think by default its /var/log/zookeeper/. you can also look at /var/zookeeper/. the zookeeper config file is usually in <zookeeper install dir>/conf/zoo.cfg. in my case, e.g., it is at /usr/lib/zookeeper/conf/zoo.cfg.
