Actually, I am using the Cloudera Version CDH3. Should have said...

So, I guess that's OK.

However, I wasn't hitting it that hard. I had 4 clients each writing about 1000 bytes about 2/second.

What is a Fat Cell, and how do I query the number of Regions/Server?

Thanks

HBase doesn't work on hadoop 0.20. You've seen
http://hbase.apache.org/book.html#hadoop?

See hbase-env.sh for settings. Default heap is 1G.

1G is probably fine for getting you going. Once you have tens of
regions per server, you should probably up it.

How many regions per server on your cluster?

Other settings are default?

What version of hbase?

Did your upload have a fat cell in it? Or a bunch of fat cells in it? MBs?

Are you swapping?
