Thnx St. Ack

I Downgraded from current releases in order to follow the Nutch 2.x tutorial
EXACTLY, because I could not get Nutch to work and every post I googled,
first thing everyone suggested on this error was to follow the Tutorial
EXACTLY

So far I finally have been able to get Nutch 1.7 binary to work with Solr
3.3.0, Once I downgraded from the current Solr 4.4.0 (no Hbase)

Ultimatly I'll be requirering Nutch 2.2.1 and Solr 4.4.0 - Have been playing
with this for weeks and no mater what, I can't get Nutch 2.2.1 to work, not
even when using the versions described in the tutorial. The zookeeper issue
seems to have gone away after I poked some holes into the firewall for port
2181 and now when running the crawl script it just sits there with blinking
cursor when it gets to the part of injecting URLS.

In your opinion/experience which versions should I use? What other tips do
you have? IMHO the tutorial leaves a few things out or assumes a few
pre-rquisites which I'm not aware off

Thnx

(BTW - Good nick you got yourself)

0.90.4 hbase is very old, years old.

How do you mean it can connect to zk but then it disconnects immediately?

I'd suggest upgrading first. Folks around here don't remember how 0.90
used to work. If you upgrade we can help you out.

Thanks,
