With the beta-05 release of *ColumnManager for HBase*, the package now includes support for all 1.x releases of hbase-*shaded*-client.
>From Maven[1], just select the hbase-column-manager artifact that corresponds to the version of hbase-client or hbase-shaded-client that your front-end application is dependent upon. For a quick overview of this, there's now a brief "INSTALL & CONFIGURE ColumnManager" video[2] As always, all artifacts are available from the Maven Central Repository[1] and the project's Github page[3]. For an overview of the basics, there's the "INTRODUCTION to ColumnManager" video[4], but of course the Javadocs documentation[5] gives you the most comprehensive info. Also, ColumnManager for HBase has been selected to be one of the twelve new big-data-related projects to be featured in the DEVELOPER SHOWCASE[6] at the upcoming Strata+HadoopWorld conference in New York City, Sept. 28-29. Hope to see you in NYC!!
