Thanks Ted, will check code you pointed out. But still have doubts about major compaction scheduler, If major compaction schedule is set to 7 days, how is 7 day cycle selected? 1. Is it 7 days after last major compaction run on the table? If yes, then will manual major compaction will also change this schedule? 2. If schedule time is not decided by last compaction run, then how is trigger time decided? i mean how will hbase scheduler picks day and time for compaction?
