Default Hadoop 3 version which gets bundled is Hadoop 3.4.1 for HBase 2.5.12.
There is support for multiple (non default) Hadoop versions which you have the
option to rebuild/rebundle with - https://hbase.apache.org/book.html#hadoop

I am asking because when I upgraded last (when HBase 2.5.8 was the
newest) I also tried to upgrade to the latest stable Hadoop at the
same time, but ran into some complications I couldn't solve, and
decided to go with the version of Hadoop - 3.2.4 - bundled with HBase
2.5.8.
