Hi all, Apache Hadoop 3.5.0 was released (GA) on 2026-04-02. Looking through the current codebase and JIRA, the most recent Hadoop support work I can find targets Hadoop 3.4.3 (HBASE-29920), which is now the default hadoop3 build version. I couldn't find any JIRA issue or discussion referencing Hadoop 3.5.
A few questions for the community: 1. Is there an existing JIRA issue or roadmap item for Hadoop 3.5 support that I may have missed? 2. If not, is Hadoop 3.5 support on the radar? Any rough sense of timeline or which release lines it would target? 3. Are there known blockers? In particular, Hadoop 3.5.0 requires Java 17 on the server side. Does that raise compatibility concerns for the currently maintained HBase lines (2.5.x / 2.6.x / 2.7.x / 3.0)? Thanks
