Hey folks, I recently upgraded to Apache Hive 2.1.0, and I'm experiencing a periodic NPE in the hive-server2 web UI with the following stack trace: https://gist.github.com/ajsquared/911aeaa64791e94117afb14c0ace5a40. After this happens the UI is unavailable until the hive-server2 process is restarted.
I saw https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HIVE-13099 which appears to reference a similar error, but that claims to have been fixed in version 2.1.0. I haven't been able to reliably reproduce the error, but I am seeing it at least once a day. Is anyone else running into this?
