We have built a Docker image for running all of Hive on MR3 (based on Hive 3.1.2), Ranger 2.0, and Timeline Server in Hadoop 2.7.7. The Docker image should be useful for quickly testing Hive features, playing with Ranger, and visualizing DAGs in MR3, etc, on a single machine.
