wt, you are talking about over here writing the whole security plugin. Looks like the community also need a plugin for security as well. Now it really depends how you want to authenticate the user when a specific operation is performed on a specific cache.
I have already started to write the security plugin but it will take some time to complete as I need to think how the user can be authenticated, JAAS integration is one of the authentication mechanisms but then I will have to learn, how it works and most importantly how much time I spend on it.
