Hello, I think it is incorrect to compare performance without detailed problem description you want to solve with grid.
Performance depends on many factors. Including transaction and consistency requirements, network quality, topology stability, cpu utilisation, contention frequency and so on. In some scenarios one system may be faster and in other scenarios another may win. Also performance is not only factor to select solution. Stability, documentation, api usability and compatibility, framework and language integration, licensing and pricing etc. are also very important. So, best way is create small model application and deploy small cluster ( may be in public cloud ) and make some tests to compare systems in you scenarios.
