The same concept can be applied for DCs. But check the cross-DC latency
first. If it's high then the overall performance of your cluster operations
will tumble unless you make all the operations asynchronous (which will
affect the strong consistency aspects).

If you need a cross-DC replication and cluster backups then check for
GridGain additions to Ignite.
