Thanks for the quick response. I'm indeed using JDK 1.7 u51. I tested jdk 1.6 and it fixed the issue.
I need to use JDK 1.7 though, but maven is not accepting version 1.7.1-SNAPSHOT... not yet at least. I guess I have to configure a new repository in my pom.xml... I'll get to that. Thanks again.
