Hello,

I'm running jmeter 2.8 with the proxy server to generate a test script. Using
"HTTP Request Defaults", I can configure the playback to have values that I
configure in the "Test Plan" element. However, I cannot configure the port
numbers using this approach. The problem I have is the following:

I record a test plan/script on one server using HTTPS and a given port and want
to be able to play back the script on a different server, HTTP, and a different
port. For example, computer 1's IP address could be 192.168.0.24, HTTPS, port
8443 whereas computer 2's IP address is 10.74.0.17, HTTP, port 8080. I can
easily control the IP addresses and access method, but can't control the port
numbers. The script generates several hundred transactions so manually editing
each HTTP(S) request is out of the question.

If anybody has run across this problem and solved it, would you be so kind as
to drop a line describing the solution?

Thanks,

Bo
