Sorry, I got confused by your sentence " The requirement is to measure the
performance of the client and the webservices "
therefore I thought you needed to test the server part as well.

I don't think JMeter is the right tool to measure client performance in
general, let alone CE devices (is it Windows CE?), if that's what you mean.

Hello Ivan,

I'm done with Performance Testing the Webservices. I'm keen about measuring the
processing time of the client. Please let me know if you have an approach.

Thank you,
Muthu.

To test the webservices: have you tried to use an HTTP Request sampler, with
the xml as raw post?
See http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/component_reference.html#HTTP_Request

Perhaps if you shared more details on the web service implementation (soap?
Rest?) you could get more specific advice.

Br
Ivan

Hi All,

We have a .Net application deployed in a device on WINCE platform, which serves
as a Client. The Client communicates with the server using Webservices request.
It is typically a client-server application. I'm able to capture the traffic
between the client and server (webservices) and able to Performance Test, too.
The requirement is to measure the performance of the client and the
webservices. Kindly let me know - how the same can be achieved in JMeter.

Thank you,
Muthu.
